We follow the relationship between sales, operating costs and cash, then work with ownership to determine which changes deserve its time and capital.
↗Owner’s Performance Review
Revenue can grow while the return to ownership diminishes. A review follows the money through the business to understand why: the customers it attracts, the cost of serving them and the management decisions that shape the result. We examine the available trading history and distinguish recurring weaknesses from an unusual season or a temporary disruption.
The owner receives a financial model, five prioritised opportunities and a 90-day action plan. Estimated benefits are accompanied by their assumptions and the work required to achieve them, so that a promising number can become an informed decision.
↗Private Owner’s Office
Some decisions benefit from a relationship that continues beyond a report. The Private Owner’s Office provides a regular forum in which the owner can examine performance, question proposals and follow the priorities agreed with management. We bring an independent perspective while remaining close enough to the business to understand the circumstances behind the figures.
↗Commercial Strategy & Profitability
Pricing and distribution affect the quality of earnings as much as the volume of sales. We examine which customers contribute, where commercial effort is being lost and whether the operation can serve additional demand profitably. Recommendations take account of the people and capital available, with changes sequenced so that the business can absorb them.
↗The first conversation
An initial discussion establishes the concern that deserves attention. A focused review may be sufficient; a continuing advisory relationship may be more useful where the owner needs support through a period of change.
